Innovation meets sustainability

For more than 70 years, we’ve invested in filter tow development. We have cultivated a profound understanding of cellulose acetate fibers and deliver unparalleled technical support that spans generations. But our journey doesn't stop there. We are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible through the integration of advanced technologies and research investments. By doing so, we not only enhance the sustainability of our products and processes but also create possibilities for a more transparent, circular and sustainable fiber for filter tow you can trust.

Commitment to our planet

We provide sustainable products that meet the needs of a growing world and are better for the planet too. It’s our promise to our customers to offer high-quality filter tow that has a low impact on our environment. Our fibers are derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp and manufactured in a closed-loop process where solvents are recycled and reused. And our fibers are biodegradable and compostable, making end-of-life solutions a possibility.

Corporate sustainability goals

Sustainability is at our core, and our corporate goals reflect that commitment. We are transforming tomorrow by revolutionizing the materials that shape it today. We do this by mitigating climate change, mainstreaming circularity and caring for society.

Eastman Estron acetate tow

Eastman Estron™ acetate tow, our biobased cellulosic fiber, is manufactured as a bundle or band of continuous fibers packaged in a bale, which our customers use as one component in the production of filters. We have provided this reliable, high-quality fiber to our customers for over 70 years. Biodegradable and compostable in specific environments, Estron is manufactured in a closed-loop process, minimizing our environmental impact.
